The sports governing body becomes an official partner of the photo competition dedicated to competitive sailing. The top twenty images will be exhibited at World Sailing’s annual conference in Abu Dhabi. The winners will be announced and celebrated at the Yacht Racing Forum on November 21 in Malta.
The Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Prize is pleased to announce a three-year partnership with World Sailing.
“We are delighted to welcome the sport’s governing body as an official partner,” says Bernard Schopfer, the event organizer. “The support of World Sailing further reinforces the impact of the price. It is a guarantee of credibility.”
The top twenty images will be exhibited at World Sailing’s annual conference in Abu Dhabi. Conference delegates, representing yacht clubs, sailing classes or federations from around the world, among others, will be invited to vote for the best sailing image of the year. They will be followed by the participants of the Yacht Racing Forum a month later. The winners of the competition will be announced and celebrated at the Yacht Racing Forum on November 21 in Malta in front of leading sports personalities from around the world.
“We are delighted to become a partner of the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award,” said David Graham, CEO of World Sailing. “Our sport is renowned for the quality of the images it produces and I am very happy that we can partner with a competition that rewards the hard work of the photographers who do so much to promote our sport. The Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award is widely recognized as the international reference and we are delighted to celebrate the winners at the Yacht Racing Forum, of which we are also a partner.”
The 2022 Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award is now open and photographers are invited to submit their best sailing image by October 9.
